Data & Methodology (US, Australian & Middle East Markets): FOB mean prices derived from Indian Customs export records (2025–26) across verified shipments to the United States, Australia, and Middle East.
Includes Turmeric, Black Pepper, Dried Chilli, Coriander, Cumin, Mixed Spices (HS 9109100/9109990), Ginger, Cardamom, Cloves, and Other Whole Spices. Turmeric prices cross-referenced with Erode and Nizamabad mandi rates.
Black Pepper garbled/ungarbled prices reflect US-customs-weighted averages including premium Tellicherry grades; standard Malabar Garbled (MG-1) may be 25–35% lower.
Freight benchmarks reflect India–US, India–Australia, and India–Middle East market rates cross-referenced against FY 2024–25 trade data (Freightos Baltic Index, Drewry WCI, FIATA bulletins). Australian, Oman Salalah, and UAE Khorfakkan routes are direct via Indian Ocean — no Suez/Hormuz dependency. Gulf ports (UAE Jebel Ali, Saudi Dammam, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman Sohar) are modelled with Hormuz Strait dependency; Red Sea ports (Saudi Jeddah) are modelled with Bab el-Mandeb dependency. Disruption multipliers modelled from the observed 2024 Red Sea crisis (+70% Bab el-Mandeb) and historical Hormuz scenarios. Middle East war risk premiums are elevated to reflect regional geopolitical conditions. ME freight rates are subject to demand surge volatility of 40–120% above benchmark — always confirm with IyaRa before quoting. Khorfakkan is a limited-capacity emergency bypass port (3–4M TEU/year); severe congestion likely during Hormuz disruptions.
Insurance includes standard marine cargo + war risk differential. Container capacity: 20ft ≈ 18 MT, 40ft ≈ 26 MT.
